Libermann Junior School Namugongo held its Prefects’ Swearing-In and Handover Ceremony for the newly elected student leaders on 31st July 2026.
The ceremony marked the official transition of leadership from the outgoing prefects to the new team and provided an opportunity to recognise the contribution of the outgoing leaders while welcoming the newly elected student leaders.
A Call to Leadership and Service
The ceremony began with Holy Mass celebrated by Fr. Aloysious Gozanga, CSSp, who encouraged the new leaders to practise humility, integrity, responsibility, and service.
This was followed by the swearing-in of 31 newly elected ministers, who pledged to serve faithfully, uphold school rules, and carry out their responsibilities with dedication.
The message to the new leaders was clear: leadership is not simply about holding a position; it is an opportunity to serve others and lead by example.

Recognising the Outgoing Prefects
The school community also recognised the outgoing prefects for their commitment and contribution to discipline, teamwork, and the creation of a positive school environment.
The Head Teacher congratulated the incoming leaders and encouraged them to lead by example as they take on their new responsibilities.

A New Chapter in Student Leadership
One of the key highlights of the event was the formal handover of leadership responsibilities. The outgoing prefects officially handed over their duties and leadership instruments to the incoming team.
This symbolic handover marked the beginning of a new chapter in student leadership at Libermann Junior School Namugongo. It also reaffirmed the school’s commitment to nurturing responsible, disciplined, and visionary young leaders.
The ceremony concluded with prayers, words of encouragement, and a group photograph to commemorate the occasion.

Wishing the New Leaders Success
As the 31 newly sworn-in ministers begin their term of office, the entire Libermann Junior School Namugongo community wishes them wisdom, courage, integrity, and success as they serve their fellow pupils and the school community.
Congratulations to both the outgoing and incoming student leaders. We appreciate the service of those who have completed their term and look forward to another year of dedicated service and exemplary leadership at Libermann Junior School Namugongo.
